I believe that Mexico's national anthem is very pretty, the music is very strong and the lyrics are very bold and patriotic, a military march composed in the 19th century and the history says used for the first time during the war with the US... The Anthem was composed by poet Francisco González Bocanegra and the music was arranged by Jaime Nunó.
France is a classic, also (like Mexico's) a military march, full of feeling and history..
USA's is pretty but not that strong, i feel it more like romatic, but obviously is not a march. I do not know its history, but the lyrcs are very sentimental. That is way it sounds so pretty when it is singed "a capella".
Just like Germany's hymn from Haydn. the issue with the verses i think its somehow stupid, that had nothing to do with the WWII, I like the lyrics but the music is very pretty and i think its motto Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit represents totally what Germany is today.
And the very best is the Hymn of Europa: The tune of the Ode to Joy (Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and the lyrics are from Friedrich Schiller)

Yes, I like this too. In fact, I've actually located a website that provides all you need to know about anthems.
It is at, http://www.nationalanthems.us/
I like the National anthems of France, Germany, the US and Britain amongst others.
But for this World Cup, I think it is Das Lied der Deutschen. The anthem of Germany. They actually use only the 3rd verse nowadays as the National anthem.
You can listen to it at: http://www.ingeb.org/Lieder/deutschl.html
Hope you enjoy it.

But of course, as an american, I love the american national anthem too. The French national anthem is great too, but do you know what those words mean? Email me if you don't, I can translate for you.

Even though I'm a proud, red-blooded American, I still can't help but love the majesty of the old USSR national anthem.

The US of course. What other country on the planet could take a a poem about rockets and bombs, put it to a British drinking song and get people to stand at attention for it?

BREATHES there the man with soul so dead,
Who never to himself hath said,
'This is my own, my native land!'
Whose heart hath ne'er within him burn'd
As home his footsteps he hath turn'd
From wandering on a foreign strand?
If such there breathe, go, mark him well;
For him no Minstrel raptures swell;
High though his titles, proud his name,
Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;
Despite those titles, power, and pelf,
The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonour'd, and unsung.
(Sir Walter Scott)
