I like to write stories on animals I have several I plan to work on. I eventually would like to get them made in to animated films. Is there any advice anyone can give me on how I can get started on this? I know I'll have to get my writing copy written, but I'll glady except the advice that is posted here.

Thanks for all the advice. The age group I'm going for is 9-12. In short the rating my stories is PG.

Why go from story to film? They are two very different forms of writing and if you plan on making films, you would be better off working in the medium where you plan to use the material. There is a magazine (and an annual book) called the Writer's Digest, and in it you will find numerous sources to learn how to write for film.
good luck .

start with an outline and introduce your character and then build the story from there..figure out what age group your going after and make sure your story fits that age group.
