somebody listened to 'breaking the habit' and realized it shouldn't have been released in the first place..
lol... I really don't know, but I really hope they're putting some time into an incredible album that won't get overplayed

What’s happening with LP? Well, they have been working on their new album for over a year already. The members of Linkin Park are not dead. They are very much alive. They truly are back into their album production process. They have been working on re-engineering and re-mastering the rough drafts of songs that each of the 6 members have come up with. They are also working with their producer Rick Rubin. No one is leaving Linkin Park. The vocalists are still Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda. It is not true that Joe Hahn (dj) died, neither is it true that Linkin Park exists but without lead vocalist Chester Benington. Everyone is intact, safe and sound.
Fort Minor is just a sideproject of LP member and founder Mike Shinoda. Fort Minor is not an exact copy of Linkin Park. Fort Minor is organic hiphop, Linkin Park is organic rock. Moreover, it is not true that Mike is so busy with Fort Minor that he has no time left for Linkin Park. Not true. Fort Minor is just a side-project of Mike Shinoda. You know, like a worker having a sideline or a part-time job. Mike really just wanted to go back to his roots, which is HipHop, and he wants to do hiphop in his own very organic way.
But Mike has always made it clear that he did not and will not leave Linkin Park. What he actually just did was to take advantage of the semi-hiatus that Linkin Park got into. So while LP was resting and spending more time with loved ones, Mike grabbed his chance and worked on his sideproject which features friends from the hiphop music biz.
If there are people wondering about LP going into a "hibernation" period, well of course! The members of the band Linkin Park are also humans like us--they get fatigued, in fact OVER-fatigued, they need rest, and they have the right to rest. This was the reason why LP slid off the limelight for almost a year (although they did some performances randomly, such as the Live8 Concert, the MusicForRelief Concert, the Grammys, and some minor shows like the MySpace Anniversary Concert and the Club Tattoo Anniversary Show).
But since music is the passion of every Linkin Park bandmember, all of them still wrote songs and melodies for their prospective new album while they were off-cam or off-the-road. I can't blame them, music has been a great part of their lives, if not THEIR very life.
Mike says, "Going back to Linkin Park is like going back home." Indeed, Mike ended his Fort Minor touring to get back home and cooperate with his LP crew on the pre-production processing of their new album which is set for a tentative late-2006 release under their very own label, Machine Shop Recordings, and under the aid of Producer Rick Rubin.
This is where we could see Mike Shinoda's flexibility and humility. He said himself that he was willing to step back out of the Fort Minor fame to give way to the new LP album. What a great man, willing to set aside the success that he has been garnering with his sideproject just for his band--the band where it all started for him. Now that his solo sideproject’s album The Rising Tied is beginning to pace up charts and receiving more attention than it did when it was released in November 22, 2005, Mike willingly put off plans for a continuation of the Fort Minor Tour and set aside his plans for the release of a next Fort Minor single. What a great person Mike is.

Mike Shindoa was busy with his side/solo project Fort Minor, so they haven't been working together as a group for awhile, but they have recently been in the studio and writing for a new album
