Resident Evil 4 is far superior to Outbreak File #2. The graphics are awesome and the game itself is a lot of fun to play. I love sniping those retarded townspeople. That Ashely chick is pretty annoying though.

I would have to agree with most people here, and say that RE#4 is superior. It has great graphics and gameplay, and the differences from the previous Resident Evil games are refreshing.
RE Out Break: file #2 seems a bit short, and the gameplay is not as original as #4 (when compared to the rest of the series).

Resident Evil 4 changes the Resident Evil formula from its trademark third person shooter and horror scheme to more of a first person shooter (with a camera behind the shoulders). It also doesn't deal directly with the T/G Viruses and instead has a new threat.
Resident Evil 2 follows the typical Resident Evil third-person horror game.
I'd recommend Resident Evil 4 personally due to its enhanced graphics, and somewhat more fast and intense game-play.

Ive been a resident evil fan since I was very young. I have #4 and they changed it way 2 much. Ive only seen clips of outbreak though, and I see that outbreak has kept the genuine look and play. so Im gonna have to say outbreak.

I loved the innovations made in 4. The story was a bit disappointing, but the game play was solid. I'm a survival horror junkie and could play either for hours.

I would have to say outbreak file #2 just because i think it rocks like nothing else. yeah, i know, going against the consensu of people saying 4 but you know what? i'm always against the consensus so its just par for the course for me.
