We no longer have a mad cow epidemic, though when we did have, a lot of people turned vegetarian. We do seem to be avoiding poultry now due to the bird flu threat. At the time of Mad Cow it was believed that intensive farming encouraged by the likes of McDonalds was partcially responsible.

We had that in Canada and we just supported are beef indusrty even more, probably because the states refused to buy form us, and we lost a lot of money.

After the initial outbreak of CJD in UK, export of beef to other EC countries was banned. The ban was lifted about three months ago as it is scientifically proven that the disease no longer exists in the UK..................

yes, they do, thats why i'm not alowed to donate blood, i lived there for 12 years, and they have no way of testing humans for exposure to BSE.(mad cow)

No, many of them don't. Some don't eat chicken either because of the bird flu. They hang on to fish, fish, fish!

yes, they pay lots of money for horse and dog meat now.
