My 98 chevy venture van a/c works fine on the passenger side, but blows warm on the driver side. It doesn't seem to be the blower. The amount of air is consistenet, it's just the temperature. What are the possible causes?

Blend air door not shutting. There is a door in the ducting system that blends the air from the AC with heated air from the heater. If it does not close all the way, ergo; hot air mixed with cold.

even if that's a chop up unit, the Compressor and condenser are outdoors and the air dealing with unit and evaporator are interior, that you're calling the furnace which that's likewise. If the air dealing with unit is kicking on and rancid may be the fan motor's overload heater taking it out using undesirable bearings or bushings. also may be loose connection to the thermostat or many different places.

low on coolant? leak in the sytem?
