Because sexual activity outside of marital bounds is more widely accepted and practiced. The younger the person, generally the less is known about safe sex practices. Nor are contraceptives as easily accessable at such young ages.

Younger kids getting pregnant do NOT see the impact of a baby. They see that is a society status. However, kids don't understand the responsibility it takes to raise a child. Kids think it's "cool" or "neat". How stupid.
Also, I see that kids think too lightly upon unprotected sex. They take sex as a game, but don't even think about prenancy or diseases. Again, how stupid.
When I was at that age, the average age of sex was about 15 or so. Now, it's moved down to about 12 or so. Isn't that just disgusting? Exactly! The thought of a 4th or 5th grader having sex makes me want to vomit.
I am seeing more and more "pre-15" having sex because the curiosity is so high. But they have NO IDEA what the ramifications are.
So, having so many non-sex-educated people around, more and more kids are getting pregnant.

Well darlin, it's a simple explanation. Sex is becoming a fad now instead of a secretive, romantic act that's between just 2 people. Now, kids have sex just to do it. It's sad that every year, younger and younger girls are becoming openly involved with sex. Knowing about it is one thing, but nowadays, girls and guys sleep with everybody....just because!! I even know a girl who wanted to marry her boyfriend but her parents didn't like him. She went and got pregnant by him just so they would have to get married. She figured out that this wasn't the smartest decision. So that's another reason why. There are many reasons but none of them are ever going to be good enough. Too many unwanted pregnancies are occuring everyday because young people just don't care.

Because in this day and age we are much more nourished and well fed, so we (girls) are more fertile. Plus more kids these days actualy have sex then compared to the old days, heck even the 80s. Now days kids lose their virginity at 13 (some), compared to the average of 18 when I was in high school...

Because their parents are not doing their job, parents are busy with their own lives and they ignore the children. It's a sad sight to see these children, some of them look no older than 12 or 13. And some of the parents think it is so wounderful that they're
going to be grandparents, It is a sad, sad thing to see.

All I know is that my daughters are never going to have sex until they are 18 and I cant do a thing to stop them. I wont stop them probably regardless. They will more than likely do it behind my back like I did to my parents, but if they decide they want to, I will show them whats safe.
There is nothing wrong with sex. You just have to be responsible for your actions. Be safe, I always am.
