I had sex right before my period was due, and now I am late. Is it possible that i could have been ovulating right before my period? Normally i ovulate around the 14th day, yet lately my periods have been more unpredicitable. If i am, when should i take a home pregnancy test? I know they say to take one the first week after you miss, but i would only be like 2 weeks pregnant or something, would it even show?

It is possible. Sometimes especially when your cycles are unpredictable your body does ovulate at different periods. And since your cycle is unpredictable it is possible that it is just running real late this month. Also sometimes sex if you do not have it regularly can mess up your cycle too.
As far as the test I would wait another week or two and take one if you do not get your cycle however if it is negative that might not be accurate. Good luck!

All women are different, majority of women ovulate 12-16 days after the first day of their period but some women ovulate as late as 2 days before their period.

Quiet possible. If your period is irregular for some reason (may be due to lifestyle changes, stress, diet etc.) then your luteal phase may have changed also.

Wait at least 10 days to see if you have any bleeding - period or implantation bleeding. If you have neither test, if its negative wait until your next period is due or should be due and test again.

It takes about 8-10 days on average for implantation but some women do not have a high hormone level at that time for a home test to pick up.

It isn't viable to get pregnant at that point to your cycle. (And in the event you bought your period on time table you're surely now not pregnant.) Most ladies ovulate about 14 days (12-sixteen days) earlier than their next period is due, and the egg lives about 24 hours. Sperm can reside in the body for roughly 3-5 days. So there's fairly best a few week for the period of which it can be viable to end up pregnant. (The trick of course is that few women are perfectly ordinary, so in the event you don't reveal your alerts, you can't perpetually be aware of exactly when those 5-7 fertile days ARE. ) nonetheless, when you had intercourse 6 days in the past and obtained your interval 3 days in the past, by the time you ovulate again (ordinarily in about 10 days), the sperm will have died long earlier than there's a new egg to be had.

If you really ovulate even 6 days before your period you will never get pregnant because it would interfere with implantation the whole point of period is for your body to say I'm not pregnant. So if you get pregnant 2 days before your period you would miscarry before it made it out of the tube.
