Ask your mechanic to turn up the throttle on it, but then make sure you keep the brakes up and good too. Yeah higher octane gas on American cars is a good thing. Also getting some Gas Treatment every 1000 miles or so and putting it in with a full tank is a wise thing to do. It will clean out your fuel system. Git er dun!!!

Could be water in gas try a bottle of gas dryer
