Devils are potent angels who have fallen from grace.
Demons are not necessarily Fallen ANYTHING. In biblical ideology Satan is the only Devil that can infest a human but there are many Demons who can too.
Strange question!

It all depends on the religion. I think if you pick a bunch of wiccans, not two of them will agree on anything (the poor forlon phonies they are).
In Christianity and others they're the same, basically.
The thing is people don't usually USE the word "devils" too often. There is A DEVIL and there are DEMONS that serve him. But you only see" devils" in texts when they have said "demons" too much and they need to change it a little.
I think you could say one has a higher rank than the other, it's up to you which one.
Religion--it's full of sh...immering uh crap

Ideally (as if there's something ideal about this concept!), the devil is Lucifer, the fallen angel- Satan, Mephistopheles etc. Demons are a later (not biblical strictly i think) invention to demarcate manifestations of evil, usually with reference to non-christain religions.
Yet, devil is often used in the plural form to make the distinction between the two less obvious

Devils and demons are a way to represent the "dark side" of mankind not anything that really exists.

You should study voodoo to be good and ward off your evil.
Devils and Demons are the same - supernatural spirits who feast on one's soul after inheriting it through infestation.
The devil however, is usually linked in comaprison to God and that gives Satan a more powerful role as an entity that is as great as God but only evil. The devil is seen as bigger than a demon, but they are not. They are both evil and cannot be compared and should not be compared to God in any form (opposites or not)- cause no one can compare to a God.

Devil mean slanderer - derived from the Greek word diabols which means "slanderer"
Demon (common Greek word "daimon") which only occurred once in the Christian Greek Scriptures in Matt 8:31is an invisible, wick spirit creature having superhuman powers.
Pneuma is the Greek word for "spirit," at times it is applied to wicked spirits or demons. It also can be used in terms such as "wicked," and "unclean"

There is a devil but demons don't exist, Satan can change his appearance and make you think that what you are seeing is a "demon" but it is his self, he can also come to you as a human.

First of all 'Devil' is the proper term, which is 'Satan' the Angel thrown out of Heaven for trying to take over the throne of God. Demons are Satan's followers, the only ones stupid enough to follow him, knowing that in the end time Satan will loose the battle and bow down to Jesus and ask forgiveness and Jesus will say 'sorry but you are to late' and cast Satan and his followers into the pits of fire for eternity.
