I know what you mean. On every single standardized test, government survey, etc, I have checked other. It's not a big deal, but it is kind of depressing. I hope that soon they will start adding a multi-racial box to the forms.
I either check other or check both races. I like the check all that apply idea from above.

It would take up too much space to list every race. I would like to see about 10 selections and the statement, "Check all that apply:" above it. I am proud to be 1/16th Shawnee, but since I am at least 5/8th Anglo-Norman, what do I check? Usually "White".

Race has no definition that is acceptable to everyone. Some blacks are much lighter skinned than some whites for example. So the current compromise is you are allowed to declare yourself any race you choose. United Nations tried to come up with definition without success.

I have a better answer. Why is there a space to check any racial ethnicity? Why doesn't the question end at , "Are you an American Citizen?"

Now someone wants another CUBBYHOLE to segregate our citizens. We need to remove cubbyholes and Hyphatated names no add more. We should all be the same. Not African- Americans etc when they have never been in Africa and may have not originated in Africa.

You should mark both boxes and explain to the people that you are more than one race.

I even have observed this besides. sometimes you will see it any different way nevertheless. yet maximum cases black mothers and white fathers the infants tend to have extra white valuable factors. on a similar time as white mothers and black fathers the infants tend to look darker with coiled hair. consistently make me sense undesirable for the white mom who would desire to comb the hair.
