Can you get if off the zip drive onto your hard drive? Then you'll know if the problem is the zip drive or the jump drive.

Another technique is to copy just a few subdirectories at a time. You may have some corrupted files, and this will help identify them.

good luck

I/O errors generally mean that there's a breakdown in communications between components. So this could be several possibilities. Out of these possibilities it's probable that either the Zip drive isn't communicating correctly with the Jump drive, or you have something wrong with your disk itself.

Zip Drives have never been great performers. They're hit or miss on a lot of things which is why their popularity isn't the best (especially now that CD burners are cheap to purchase). So my best guess right now is that there's something wrong with your Zip Drive or the disk itself.

I think that would be your keyboard, or your mouse has a problem. Are they wireless, battery operated devices? Then the batteries may have drained. I/O=Input/Output. Maybe a mouse driver has been corrupted. Reload the mouse drivers.
