because in the summer you wanna be out catching a tan, and thats what makes you feel worse, in the winter you dont care about being in bed with the flu, because its raining outside and who wants to be out in that?

It may not be a summer cold. It could be allergies. With that said, colds can and do make the rounds in the summer. I think they feel worse than in winter because it's so warm out. I feel more stuffy when it's too warm. But I also don't like missing out on the outdoorsy stuff I enjoy to do. So that in itself can make it feel worse.

Im currently suffering with a summer cold and it doing my head in. I've had it for about a week now, it's just so annoying had a tickly cough and then it went, I thought I was over it, and today its back!!
I think it's some thing to do with when the environment is cold there is less chance of bacteria forming. Cold spells actually clear the air of all bacteria. Whilst in the warm weather bacteria has chance to grow and it harder to get rid of.

Summer colds are worse by far...
When your throat is raw and hurting and you have to go outside, take a breath and it literally scalds your throat even more.
Not to mention the misery that everybody else is out having fun in the sun and you're cooped-up inside.
