I'm seriously asking! What are the signs that you're nothing more than a pretty face to him?

Thanks for all the answers :) He takes me out, I've met his family and friends and he seems to really care... I guess I was just being paranoid because he is older. Thanks!

And we have great conversations, he respects me and my opinions, etc... now I feel dumb for asking... you all have made me realize it's not an issue at all!

Guys who have a trophy take them to all their social functions and request that they dress like a sl*t, and talk to few. They stretch the truth about their trophies accomplishment and wouldn't be caught dead with them if they had a big zit on their nose, or a huge ugly rash on their neck.
After the evening is over the men take their trophy home and screw them, then slap the sh*t out of them because they held eye contact too long with another guy, or was in the rest room for too long.
They only want to be with you when it works for them.

Sometimes one of the signs is that he is rich, not at all to semi-handsome. A little older than you and only buys you things to show you off in them. He always disreguards what you have to say.Those are just a few.
If you really feel like the guy is treating you like a trophy and not a person talk to him. You are way more valueable as a whole person, you have feelings and if you really do love and respect him then those feelings are hurt seriously by some of his actions. You want to be around him for love and not a bunch of bullshit pride/power tripping.
Good luck and I hope you are able to work it out too where you are finally happy either with him or without him.

trophy wife would imply that you are married, girlfriend is not married. If you never said "I do" you are a girlfriend.
If you are just a pretty face to him, he probably has no interest in anything important to you - hobby, work, sports, pets, kids, cooking...
Does he talk to you? Does he ask you what you think about - anything? Does he just want to you be dressed up and smiling holding onto his arm while he takes you out?
Follow you intuition, if you think you are his "trophy", you probably are.

By the way how he is taking care of your feeling and treating you. What is his attitude towards your values. Does he has respect for you or just mannered way talk to lady because doesn't wanna loose. Some time there are differences but if you are some one special for him, he defiantly try to make himself good out of him for you.

Wow this one is tuff! First if he doesnt come home on time at night hes probly gettin his polesmoked by some other dishrag on the side.Another sign is he if he calls you different names in bed,just play along its normal for a guy who's shaggin 3-5 different chicks at the same time..A big sign is if it starts to burn when u pee or if you start recieving sores that weeping shhit around the mouth.....Just look at it this way your one of many pretty faces he ****'s on !

to you bring anything to the relationship other than your looks? do you cotribute financially, can you make desisions, do you help out around the house or just spend his money?
if you answer no to any of these questions you might be just a trophy and not much of one at that....

How long do your conversations usually run? Does he know little things about you? Easy ways to find out, start a conversation and see where it leads (if anywhere) and casually ask him something about yourself you think he should know.

It boils down to the nature of your relationship. Does he respect you, listen to you, understand the things that are most important to you?
Best of all, talk to him. If you are really concerned about this, ask him and see how he responds. That should show you what he really thinks of you.
Relationships are about trust and understanding. Often we simiply need to trust that our husbands really mean what they say.

well, if he justs comes around when he needs to take you somewhere where there are other people to see you all together, then you're just a trophy. if he takes you to meet his family, then it's more serious.
