Scott's weed and feed works great. Just spread it on your lawn a couple times a year. If you see large brown spots around the yard you probably have grubs in your lawn and you need to treat your lawn for grubs. Your lawn also needs about a half inch to an inch of water a week. You can use a rain gauge to help in that regard. It's best to water in the early morning around or before sunrise. Don't water in the middle of the day because the water can act like a magnifying glass and cause the grass to burn.

Make sure you fertilize and do a weed and bug control program. Scott's works great. If it hasn't rained in a week...water it.
