i want to work at a bank. but my credit is not great.. does all bank check credit before employment?

Depending on how bad your credit is and the reasons behind your bad credit, you might still be able to get hired. The key is to be upfront with the issue and to explain the problems. My wife had a long period of unemployment and it dinged her credit. We wrote a letter explaining the situation and what she was doing about it and she got hired by a bank. She disclosed the problem before they pulled her credit report.
