What are the little green signs on the side of highways? The say mile then they have 3 or so numbers and they are like ever 50 feet. As a child my mom told me they were for the truck drives. What do they tell a truck drive?

I think what you're referring to are the mile markers? If it has the interstate number on top, with a number below it, saying its "so and so" mile from the beginning of that interstate in that state.

Depending on where you live, they can have different meanings. I know Kentucky has mile markers for every tenth of a mile and they are blue.

You are supposed to use those in case of an emergency and can tell people exactly where you are.

Hope that helps!

These signs are mile markers, they are really of no use though. If they also have the tenth of miles then they can be used by police helicopters to determine if one is speeding
