Xdiff = X1 - X2
Ydiff = Y1 - Y2
The first (X1 or Y1) should be the larger number of the 2
so Xdiff = 4 - -3 = 7
and Ydiff = 0 - 0 = 0

Since everyone else helped you with the distance formula, I'll help you with the radicals.

(√3+5)(√3-3)

You have to use foil for this.
From algebra, you should know that foil stands for:
F - First
O - Outer
I - Inner
L - Last

(√3+5)(√3-3)
√3 times √3 = √9 = 3
√3 times -3 = -3√3
5 times √3 = 5√3
5 times -3 = -15

so now we have: 3 - 3√3 + 5√3 - 15

now you add/subtract like terms

3 - 15= -12
-3√3 + 5√3 = 2√3

so, the answer is -12 + 2√3

the distance between the two points is ((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)^(1/2) or the square root of the sum of the differences between each cooridnate sqared. The answer is 7. (7,0) is another point, but it isn't a distance, distance is a scaler quality of real spaces not a point in a coordinate system.

D = sqrt((x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2)

(-3,0) and (4,0)
D = sqrt((4 - (-3))^2 + 0^2)
D = sqrt((4 + 3)^2
D = sqrt(7^2)
D = 7

---------------------------

(√3 + 5)(√3 - 3)
(sqrt(3))^2 - 3sqrt(3) + 5sqrt(3) - 15
3 + (-3 + 5)sqrt(3) - 15
(3 - 15) + 2sqrt(3)
-12 + 2sqrt(3)
