why is it that throughout american history black people have created a certain pop culture (music, style, fashion, lingo dance...etc..) in our society and were hated and banned at first for their creativity but when white people finally find out, they exploit it and try to copy and market it?

since the days of elvis (who, by the way stole his singing and dancing styles from poor, old black blues singers who created it and never got paid or respect)...and now elvis is considered the king of rock & roll.

now it's a hip hop world.

back in the 70's when hip hop started, white people were saying "turn off that disco". or that "ni**er" music...just like back in the 50's

now you get little white kids dressing, walking, dancing, and talking like so called "ni**ers.

....some even calling themselves "ni**a" but not knowing one single black person.....lol

by the way...im not racist...i just think it's interesting.

because people are ignorant. that's all there is to it. we make things out to be a big deal, instead of acting like black people are just like everybody else. take black history month for example. kids are forced to learn stuff only for a month about the contributions of black americans. it should be integrated all the time and treated no differently than anyone else.

Never heard, that Elvis was a racist or said something bad about black people ....and why is it stealing, when you like something and take it to your style ? All musicians are influenced by somebody . Elvis opened the door for all the music that came after him ......without Elvis , no Beatles, or whatever we hear these days
( except classic )
Besides Elvis was called poor withe trash , when he was a little boy and he grew up in the cotton fields of the south.
So the certain pop culture you are talking about is just because of Elvis. And as I know Elvis cried, when Martin Luther King was shot in Memphis Tennessee 1968 .

( Elvis ancestors were German , Scottish, Irish , Jewish and Native American )

Not in any respect hypocritical. Black persons who're a small percent of Americans are nonetheless attempting to conquer the consequences of ancient oppression. The Jim Crow Era was once no longer rather that lengthy in the past. So, legalized segregation is ended and blacks are actually thrown a couple of crumbs, and in a single day, all the results of racism, discrimination and oppression are erased??? White persons have possession over many features of America whether or not they wish to or no longer, it is a nation and society that caters to the desire of white Anglo Saxon Americans. They don't want "whites handiest" whatever considering that they aren't grappling with the devastation of ancient discrimination nor do they've minority fame.

What seems like forever...people have always spoken first acted later. Also there is the "Can't beat them-join them"syndrome...better known as the "Copy Cat". In my world...the Whites and others are "Wanna be Native Americans" ..People have called me "Red Ni--er"...yet I see them at Pow Wow's jumping around. I love everybody ...and I feel deep down ...most people have desires to be like everybodyelse..this
feeling is not put in that person by mistake...God made all of us
very special in our own ways...and we do notice each others beauty...whether we want to show it or admit it or not.
