Get a divorce kit at Walmart and follow the instructions. As long as he doesn't contest anything it will cost you very little.

I agree, try Legal Aid in your area, with the desertion, it is easier in some states than others. Some insist on signatures. Good luck with the divorce and the next relationship.

Talk to legal aide or talk to lawyers and get different prices and rates and also see if some lawyers will take payments or ask him to pay half for the divorce.

File the divorce yourself. If their are no disputes over property, child support etc. It is very cheap to do it this way.

Some states will allow you to do the paper work your self. Check you library. They usually have the paper work all you have to do is copy it and fill it out . Then take it to the court house. Good luck.

well if he left you try to find proof that he cheated on you and if you find that then you shouldnt have to pay anything to him...just make sure that you have a good lawyer and make sure you tell the judge he left you and it has been so long and he has not asked for anything so just try to find proof he cheated and you wont pay anything...

You can file and fill out paperwork online, if you have no kids and its uncontested, it can be done for less than 500.00 but if you contest it or have custody issues it gets pricey quick!

It varies from state to state. Where do you live? Call legal aid in your community and they can help.
