Al Bundy will forever remember his high school football days. Whenever he thinks about them again, he'll be basking in the glory he received in those days. However, no one else remembers - or at least it's very rare. A glory that is not remembered by others is useful only for the recipient who will always have that experience to carry around with him. Even if the public glory is short-lived, it is an experience that should not be passed up if the opportunity arises.

Only as long as the effect of your actions. Glory and greatness are dependent on cause and effect. Be a Mother Theresa and you name will live on in the decendents of those lives you healed or saved. Be a HItler and your name will live on in the broken lives and trauma you do to the world. Its just such a historical pity its easier to take rather than save a life.
But more fulfilling!

The Glory is so called as and only because its is everlasting. Undoubtly the glory lasts for ever.

i feel glory lasts momentarily ... though "momentarily " in this case can b defined as sum century or so .... but glory after all is a delusion ... and the bubble of delusion... no matter how strong it b ... has to burst some day or the other ..

If your glorious it last forever no one can take it'll never fade away you did something wonderful, memorable, and honorable people will forever look up to you because you make a person want to follow in your footsteps a real role model.
