Neither one will get it. New York is not the only state in the Union. Too many small town Americans would balk at the notion that megalopolis ideologues would even try for it. Some say that Bloomberg is interested, but the rank and file American would not support any of them.
Howard Dean is a better bet because he comes from Vermont. John McCain is a better bet because he comes from Arizona.
In this age of partisan vitriol, nobody wants to engage a candidate who participates in that.
It is too early to tell. There is going to be a lot of speeding in this next race, and there are going to be a lot of crashes and even some bad wrecks. It is simply too early to tell.
But my bet would be that Hillary isn't even gonna show. Her Takes a Village message really backfired because of Janet Reno. And Monica Lewinsky. And Zoe Baird. So the good old girls are her worst enemies.
Rudy Giuliani probably won't be able to get the people together. He has the money, but he doesn't have the people. Bloomberg has both, but it is probably going to be somebody like Arlen Specter from PA and or MAYBE John McCain. And it will be someone like Patty Murray from Washington and someone like maybe Barbara McClosky. Howard Dean is a good bet. And maybe someone like Joe Lieberman or Dennis Kucinich.
I can almost assure you that it will not be Hillary.

Clinton doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell. Although Giuliani doesn't quite match my political position on most things, he is a straight shooter, sincere and a strong man. He is presidential material and I would vote for him. Hillary is an evil freak. God help us if she ever gets into office.

Hillary, she is a strong, intelligent woman that isn't afraid to stand up for what is right. She would have the best adviser in the world in her husband. The last legally elected president and the most successful in over 40 years.
