Good question. Can there be liberty without equality? Would we truly feel liberated if equality did not exist? Could we feel equal without liberty?
I don't believe it's possible to separate the two.

The choice is impossible. You cannot have either without the other. The closest that the human race has come to TRUE equality is in the United States. I openly admit that we have had and still have instances of UNequal treatment...but we DO have the framework in place to achieve TRUE equality. Once we are all able to work through and EMBRACE the DIFFERENCES we have. YES Latinos are different from blacks, Asian from white. However over the last 200 plus years we came together and made a place we could all at least survive TOGETHER. That place our parents came here to make is in jeopardy of being destroyed by outside sources using OUR sense of empathy against us. Wake up....once we have the foreign AND domestic enemies in check, we can once again become the country that holds BOTH liberty AND equality for ALL.

I choose liberty, as far as being equal, I'm thinking more along the lines of so many people being alike and there's nothing better than being your own person. Besides, being free -should- be the best feeling in the world. I think a lot of us take advantage of freedom because we don't know what it's like to not have it.

If I could obtain true equality thats what I would choose because that would be liberating in and of itself, but since I can't I go with Liberty.

Liberty - equality is a false assumption that doesn't exist in real life. Liberty is also a false assumption but the ideal is much closer than the ideal of equality.

Liberty. Equality, in the current political sense of "everyone getting exactly the same of everything," is impossible.

I would chose equality; because equality leads to liberty when we stand equal and have evreything common then what to fight for and what is the point of conflict; we all are equal and so it inturn will liberate me...
SO I WILL CHOSE LIBERTY
