For everyday use, knives play a big part in my life, simply because I use them when I'm cooking. I tried using a sword once, but found I didn't have enough room in the kitchen to properly wield it, and the gun just blew all the food apart...and ruined my cutting board. And yeah, handling a knife requires a great deal of skill.

Definitely knives and swords. I have a Japanese chef's knife made by Shun that epitomizes how beautiful a knife can be. It's a high-carbon knife made in Seki city in Japan which was once the centre for samurai sword production. Those same traditions and skill now go into making chef's knives. The handle is unusual, a rounded D-shaped as opposed to flat and made of a dark, polished exotic wood. The most beautiful thing is probably the blade itself, it's clad in additional layers of alloy so that when you turn the blade in the light, you can see all the metal layers shimmer in a wavy, wood grain pattern. To be perfectly honest I probably prefer the flat handle design of a German knife (though some prefer the Shun design) but for sheer beauty, the Japanese knife is the winner. It's damn sharp too.

Ive never seen an autococker in action so i don't know how they perform on the field. But I do know, like the guy above me spyders are for noobs (you should know that anyways because your not looking for one). If I was looking for a new gun for about $300 I would buy either a PMR (Proto matrix rail) or an Invert Mini. Both guns shoot at 20+ bps and are very reliable. If you can spend a bit more you should consider a smartparts EOS, my buddy just got one and its awesome.

I like swords. My husband collects Samurai swords and actually has some skill wielding them. He took martial arts for most of his life.

Knives/ swords! They require skill in choosing, maintaining, and wielding.
Guns are just noisy things men with small penises buy to compensate.

While it is true their is a lot of skill with swords, being proficient with a pistol isn't easy it take almost as much practice as it does with a sword.
That being said give me a Peacemaker or a 1911

Swords and knives. There's just more daring involved (IMO) in a swordfight than a gunfight. Especially since you HAVE to be face to face.

I like guns better. They usually have safety mechanisms. If a sword or knife is really sharp you can cut yourself, or someone getting too close the edge accidentally may get cut.

knives and swords...they are much prettier, for one thing. they are skillfully crafted works of art, rather than mass-produced guns. and like you said, you need skill to use one. any idiot can pull a trigger.
