Liberals will fight to the death (liberal men will even swing their man-purses if need be) to defend their "right" to kill unborn babies, while defending the right of convicted mass-murderers to remain alive.

Liberals also think that the only reason the United States was attacked by terrorists is because we don't pursue their hippie "free love" philosophy enough and they're damn sure that if we just stopped destroying the Taliban and Al-Quada and apologized that everything would be okey-dokey while ignoring the truth that radical muslims kill in the name of religion and won't stop killing you no matter what you do and say.

Are liberals ALWAYS on the wrong side of important issues?

"xyz_gd" ... NASCAR hats ... that is funny. You do miss the point about abortion, however. It's not a choice about "what women can do with their bodies" it is only about killing unborn children.

The baby inside has it's own blood and a unique DNA which means that it is a separate and distinct living thing from the mother.

Also, you can't do whatever you want with your body in many respects. You can't legally do drugs with your body. You can't legally kill yourself. You can't legally sit in public and masterbate. How is it then that specifically killing a baby is just a choice that a woman makes about her own body?

I would give an answer, but I couldn't agree more with what you have already said.

Why are CONSERVATIVES so hard on innocent lives (civilians, soldiers) but so soft on the fetus?

Conservatives will fight to the death (conservative men will even swing their Nascar Hats if need be) to defend their "right" to kill innocent civilians in other countries, while defending the right of our evangelicals to dictate what women can do to their bodies.

Conservatives also think that the only reason the United States was attacked by terrorists is because Clinton got a BJ in the Oval Office.

Are conservatives ALWAYS on the wrong side of important issues?

The answer, unfortunately, is MOST OF THE TIME.

Men don't kill unborn babies, nor do we murder them. Actually, they fit the definition of a parasite.

I don't defend mass murder's to be alive, they are the only ones they should execute. What I don't get is why you and your ilk want to place your private views on women when you aren't having the baby, you aren't risking your life, you aren't going to support it. I think you have absolutely no grounds to tell someone else what to do. On addition, prisoners are alive and breathing, a fetus is not!

Why are those who are anti abortion so damn pro killing everyone else???? I just can't rationalize that kind of thinking

You are so full of bs about the rest.

WAKE UP! Saddam did not attack anyone, none of the terrorist were Iraqi, Saddam was not involved in 9/11. It's for oil! damn you people are hard headed or live in never-never land!

I assume you're going somewhere with this. In many cases, there is a reason for abortion that goes beyond their and YOUR control. In the case where you know the child is going to spend the rest of it's life suffering, would you still have the baby and let it suffer. You would really put the child through a Hell it can feel as opposed to put an end to a suffering it will never know (A fetus can't feel anything until after 20 weeks, or 5 months if you will).

Defending terrorists. I do not believe in the death penalty because it makes no sense. Punish murder with murder? A society like that is not sociologically possible. If everything were tit for tat in that sense, would you believe in those innocent, but wrongly convicted of rape to be raped? Or that those who molest have their innocent children sexually harrased? Tit for tat is not the way to live in society. If so, answer me this:

Your mother is accused of murder, a crime you know she didn't commit. She is sentenced to death, so there is little time to prove her innocence. Just as she takes her final breath, they learn that she didn't commit the murders. Would you still justify the practice of legal murder? If so, may God have mercy on your soul...

Wow, I think your second paragraph was the longest single sentence in history. First of all, everything you said is opinion. I'm a liberal and when I defend abortion rights, I defend them on the basis that there are cases that it should be done in accordance with the mother's wishes. (i.e. health of the mother, rape, disease, etc...) I don't think it's right for some kid or some dumb slut to go screw around and just say, "Oh well, I'll get an abortion." The abortion law needs to be tweeked to fix this problem.

Secondly, liberals usually are against the war in Iraq because it originally wasn't a war against the Taliban and Al-Quada. The original reason for war was the WMDs which turned out to be a lie. Then it was the Hussein-Bin Laden connection...once again...a lie. Now it's to bring democracy to Iraq. I'm not sure if it's working or not, but we aren't seeing a great success rate from the news reports. I am all for taking every single American troop out of Iraq and redeploying them to Afghanastan and find that dumb SOB Osama Bin Laden. He's an a**hole and he needs to die. When the vote came to go to war after 9/11, all but two voted yes. That tells me that even your despised rival liberals were with you on that issue.

"Liberals will fight to the death (liberal men will even swing their man-purses if need be) to defend their "right" to kill unborn babies, while defending the right of convicted mass-murderers to remain alive." I have one for you: Conservatives are the first to send troops into a war to defend our rights, but they're the first to chastise someone for practicing those rights. Example: The Dixie Chicks using their freedom of speech. The right wing is upset with them because it was an opinion other than what they believe. Freedom of speech works for everyone. (I'm not defending the Dixie Chicks...I personally thought they should have kept their mouths shut, but they had every right to say it.)

My point is simple, don't assume everyone in a population acts the way a few do. I'm a liberal, but there are some liberal points that I don't agree with. I want more strict immigration laws...very much a conservative point. Liberals are not always on the wrong side of important issues, they just have a different way of working out problems than you do. Don't hate a population for having dissent. That reflects badly on you.

Let me answer your last question first. It is "Are liberals ALWAYS on the wrong side of important issues?"

Let's look back at the history of the US:

Slavery: Liberals: Free the slaves -- Right side.
Conservatives: Keep slavery -- Wrong side.

Women's right to vote: Liberals: Let Women Vote -- Right side.
Conservatives: Disenfranchise women: Wrong side.

Equal education for all races: Liberals: Yes -- Right side.
Conservatives: No -- wrong side.

Taxes and Spending: Liberals: Pay as you go -- Right Side
Conservatives: Cut taxes for the rich and run up a big deficit -- Wrong Side

Do we really need to go on?

As for your other points, I reject the truth of your statement about liberals and the terrorists. Liberals were just as angry with the 9/11 attacks as conservatives. The difference is that liberals wanted to track down those who actually did the attacks, while conservatives like Bush wanted a reason to attack Iraq for personal and financial reasons. If a liberal was in the White House, Bin Laden would be dead now.

One need only look at the US between the World Wars to see the difference between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives fought hard for protectionism that led to the great depression and an acceptance of atrocities overseas -- as long as it didn't affect us. Liberals wanted to bring liberty to the rest of the world and stop men like Hitler, Mussolini and Franco (all of whom called themselves conservatives), realizing that we are never safe unless the world is safe.

It was conservatives who blocked Wilson's plan to help Europe after WWI, leading to an environment that would turn Europe into a kinderbox within 20 years. It was Liberals who pushed through Truman's plan after WWII that brought peace and prosperity to Europe and brought about a safer world.

I also reject your statement about abortion. Most liberals do not like the idea of abortion any better than conservatives. The difference is that we feel the way to eliminate abortions is through education, not legislation. If conservatives did not block efforts to educate young people about sex, fewer young women would get pregnant and resort to abortions.

Yes, they are always on the wrong side of important issues. Liberalism is a throwback to socialism, and therefore will never work. The idea that we take from the hard-working to help the lazy is obviously inherently wrong. A continued philosophy of protecting the right to kill while not supporting our security is only hurting them recently. There used to be tough liberals like Truman. Those days are a long time gone.

"cantcu" ...

YOU may support the killing of a mass-murderer but you are one of the few. Ever notice all the libs protesting outside a prison when one of the scum is about to be put down like the dog it is?

"I think you have absolutely no grounds to tell someone else what to do." ... and yet society tells people what they can and can't do all the time, it's only when it comes to abortion that twitchy assclowns like you have a problem with it.

A fetus is not alive?

Saddam DIDN'T attack anybody? I think there's hundreds of thousands of Kurds who would disagree, if they weren't dead. And the money that he personally gave to suicide bombers must not count in your world.

It's been PROVEN over and over that Iraq harbored and financially supported terrorism.

It's for the oil? If it's for the oil ... where's the goddamn oil? If it was just to steal Iraqi oil we should be swimming in oil by now.

I think they can not read. We have had so much bull shot at us by the press and Hollywood they can not see the truth. If one liberal knew how a late term abortion was done, she would run from the room sickened. Or read some of the truth on the terrorist and what they are trying to do and have done going back to the 5th century.

They are not being hard on the fetus, they are being easy on the pregnant person. It's a matter of perspective. Liberals think conservatives are always on the wrong side of important issues. Try to understand the other side if you really want more power. They will probably not change.

Why is a woman's fetus any of your business? What exactly is your interest in it? If you have a religious belief about conception, why is it right to allow you to impose that belief on some woman you don't even know? Are you trying to protect God's feelings or something? Can you identify any reason at all that your opinion of what reproductive decision a woman should make should take precedence over her opinion? Or that your religion should take precedence over hers? Your position does not seem logical.
