Does anyone know how to get a sponser for cheerleading?and what are some good places to try?

Start with your family. Their jobs could be a great place for sponsorship. Neighborhood businesses as well. Just get out and network...sell yourself or your squad I should say.

I can't give you a specific sponsor because it depends where you are. Your best bet is to go around (with your girls in uniform) into the community and look for sponsors that way. Local sponsors are usually willing to help out the local sports teams and athletic programs. In return you could perhaps make a small banner where you then list your sponsors, so it gets their name on there. If your still hardpressed to find a sponsor to cover all the cost, try minimizing to single fundraising events. Just ask around there are always people willing to help.

Are you looking for equipment or money? I would first approach local businesses, both big and small. Speak to the manager or owners to see if they are interested in sponsoring. You need to make a good offer as well. How will they benefit from sponsoring you? Be sure to be professional and ready with different proposals for different companies. If you are a teenager or student, support from faculty would be excellent. If you are a private club, parental support would be great as well. You need to give the company cofidence in their investment and show how they will benefit. Good luck.
