There are times when I laugh and times when I'm upset and bothered, but nothing ever remains constant with me. When I'm smiling and happy, something always triggers in my mind (whether its about my family situation, my boyfriend, or anything else) and turns my smile upside down. I live with my bf and this effects him and our relationship. I don't want that. I want to be a happy, sweet girlfriend for longer than a couple of hours without getting bothered or mad about little things. How can i just be happy without letting things effect me so much?

I don't even pretend to know the answer to your question. You see, I am a 55 year old man that can not identify with your feelings. I do, however, have many years of experience in observing the complicated gender.

You are not so different from most other women. I personally believe that your situation is complicated a bit more by living with your boyfriend without the knowing commitment of marriage.

I have long been amazed at the burden carried by the "whole mind" thought processes that women carry with them. There are so many issues, thoughts, hopes, self-doubts, worries and concerns that whirl around in a women's mind that it is a wonder that there is any room for stability at all.

I don't know the level of your "swings" and perhaps there is an imbalance that puts a sharper edge on the swings. All women go through different levels of emotional response and involvement throughout any particual month.

Only you, and perhaps your doctor, can determine your level of "ups and downs" is normal or outside the bounds of normal.

I know it isn't easy. Self-doubt is a universal characteristic of most women.

I hope that this helps in some way.

When something bad happens or you thought of a bad idea just think o it as a trial that would make you a better perosn. Convert those negative thoughts into positive so that your relationship with your bf and with other people would not be affected. If something bothers you talk to your bf bec he's also your friend so that he can help you and undersatnd you more. Helping eachother would make your relationship stronger. =)

you sound like my wife. a million things to do and time enough to only do a few each day. this type of thinking is destructive as it won't let you sleep or relax. when you do find time to relax you start feeling guilty for not doing something on your list.

this example may not be a perfect fit but you get the jist of it. learn to take time and smell the roses. ask for help when you feel overwhelmed. initiate things in the bedroom (or any room for that matter).

I somewhat have this problem. You have to give complete effort to this problem. As bad as you want to ***** and complain about something you have to take a step back and leave it alone. Practice this until you realize that the little **** doesn't bother you anymore.
