I say NO...its not meant to be this way. In general two men cannot a conceive a child, nor two women cannot. So therefore theres a reason why same sex shouldn't be. The answer is obvious! Sorry but thats how it goes.

Why the hell not? This pisses me off... why hasn't anyone compared the inequality that homosexuals have to live with with the inequality that african american's had to deal with. Just like skin color, homosexuality is not a choice. They are people. The only argument that I could think of as to WHY two gay men should not be about to adopt is because of the inequality that exsists in the world today. The only thing that makes it difficult to grow up with homosexual parents is the unacceptance of this practice. One day people's minds will open and science will speak out and people will realize that there is no difference between a straight family and a homosexual one. Once society accepts homosexual people the will be no threat of a child having a though time growing up in a home around homosexuality. This is only going to happen if some people break boundries now and do this. As for a female figure to talk to, there are always aunts, grandmothers and older good friends who know what it's like to grow up as a girl.

Though I am far from homophobic, I do believe that a child should have the benifit of being raised by a mother and a father.
While most believe that homosexuality is not a learned behavior, I just think that a child should have the example of a mother and father if possible. Given the choice of staying under foster or state care or being adopted by a gay or lesbian couple, I would however pick the gay or les couple.

Absolutely gays and lesbians should be able to adopt. Your sexual orientation has nothing to do with how well you can care and love for a child. There are probably more heterosexual couples who mistreat their children anyways. A child needs love and as long as someone whether it be two men or two women can give it to that child then I say it should completely be considered. Not to mention that children would be far better off being adopted into a homosexual household than to be in and out of foster care!

Two gay men could probaly teach a girl how to dress and act and be a lady better than some of the straight couples I've seen in action. It certainly makes as much sense as Ophrah telling people how to raise their sons.

No, what example will they be setting for the kid.. A child would grow up thinking its ok to date the same sex because that's how they were raised.... I just think it's not right... If gays want a child that bad than stay w/ the opposite sex and have it the right way!!!!!

I have no problem with it at all. There are plenty of heterosexuals who are crappy parents. Just because someone's gay can't possibly make them any worse. In my opinion, there are way too many kids waiting for homes for everyone to bicker about things like sexual preference when finding potential parents. If they're going to provide and loving home for a child without parents, blessings to them.

I think the problem lies within society's misconception that two gay men (or women) will molest the child. I don't know how being gay automatically turns you into a child molestor, but America seems to have an underlying fear that it's true.

I love ALL people, but the world is sooooo judgmental. It would cause such hardships for the child to be raised by same gender parents.
