Your friend can still get pregnant however if she is having an "outbreak" when she goes into labor the baby will have to be born c-section
or the baby could be born blind, deaf, any number of things could go wrong...It's just not a good idea for them to pursue this...Your friend should also be tested for Herpes, if he has it I feel pretty confident saying she has it too... Good Luck!

There is ways to have a healthy baby when a parent has this condition. Have them talk to the dr. thats where you and they can get the best advice on this situation. The other answers dont sound correct to me.

your friend needs to get tested for herpes. and stop having unprotected sex. she has the disease and can now spread it. she needs to start meds as soon as possible. this disease has no cure but can be managed. as far as getting pregnant they need to both see the doctor

IF SHE DOES GET PREGNANT, SHE HAS TO LET THE DOCS KNOW, CAUSE SHE WILL HAVE TO HAVE A C-SECTION OR THE CHILD WILL BE MENTALLY CHALLANGED, IF MY HUBBY GOT HERPES I WOULD LEAVE HIS ***, IS SHE THAT NAIVE THAT SHE DOESNT REALIZE THAT HE CHEATED?
