Depends on why your kids don't like him, IS he mean or just make them mind? Are they jealous of time spent with you or afraid not to be loyal to their dad? It really depends on your situation. I do beleive that their feeling should be taken into consideration after all your are their only mommy and he is just a boyfriend.

I think it is a good idea to find out why your kids feel this way. My son is now 22 and a few years ago I met a gentleman that my son just didn't like. At first I thought it was because he just didn't want anyone dating his mom, but I came to find out he had the guy pegged right. The guy was a nutcase and my son could see right thru him. I'm not saying that is what is happening in your case, but I don't think we always give kids the credit they deserve. Maybe they are sensing something about this guy that doesn't feel right. Talk to them and I hope all turns out for the best.

You need to get to the root of why your kids don't like this guy. I have been a single mother for 4 years since my divorce. Both my girls have not liked either of the two guys I have dated. They never had any valid reason. I always considered their feelings and come to find out, they really didn't like sharing my time with him. But life does go on and yours does not need to stop because they don't like your boyfriend. Be sure it is not because he is mean to them or something like that. Then base your decision on that.
