You can remove gum out of carpet by freezing it, so a similar process should work for Playdoh.
Ice cubes are probably not cold enough to freeze it, so there are a couple of other ways to freeze it:
Dry ice. Most grocery stores sell dry ice by the pound. Break off a peice and put it on the PlayDoh
Computer duster/Canned air. The canned air that you can by for dusting the inside of your computer with is excellent for quick freeze jobs. Turn the can upside down and thoroughly spray the Paydoh with the liquid that comes out.
In both of the cases, especially with the canned air, there is a danger of getting frost bite. Use work gloves with handling either.
Once you have frozen the PlayDoh, simpy break it up with some pliers and it will flake out of the carpet. You may have to refreeze if if you do not get it all out on the first freezing.

I'm assuming it's fresh, not dried out. If it's home-made playdoh, then it'll dissolve with lots of water and work. I think store-bought playdoh does the same thing.
if it's already dried, you can try getting it wet and seeing if it softens, but I'm not sure it'll help.
Good luck!

Find the spot where the playdoh is and spread your cheeks and shoot logs at the spot - when you are done smear your butt on the carpet - that should work fine.
Thank you and have an intoxicated day!

get as much out as you can now... then when it gets dry ... have a butter knife in one hand and a dust buster in the other. scratch it out and then vac... and repeat :D and then if color remains... the best carpet cleaner i've found (store bought that is ) is the woolite oxy powered carpet stuff... it comes in a blue bottle. WORKS LIKE A DREAM LOL I got red wine out of a almost white carpet with that stuff ...

Pick it out as best as you can and then spray it with carpet cleaner. Let that sit for a while and then wash it out.
