to doctor "bgm":
I don't have the symptoms you described. I had epidurals for my labour pain and I'm having this problem since. It's been 2 and a half years but I still get severe back pain around and during my period. I've spoken to my doctor and he says that it's always gonna be like this. The pain might get milder over time but That's the side effect epidurals have. He suggested taking pain killers.

I used to get back pain a lot

Try an osteopath, or do gentle stretching exercises every day (ideally morning and night) move on to Yoga/pilates - get a DVD - thats the easiest way.

Additionally, don't use hot water bottles - I know it FEELS like its helping but it isn't, you should actually use an ice pack / bag of frozen peas instead

Watch your posture, sit in a dining chair rather than on the sofa, don't slouch, and don't cross your legs

I avoid painkillers for backpain, as it is best to know where you are hurting so you can adjust your movement/posture accordingly

Hope that helps!!

The Best Ever treatment for back pain is BED REST
Every other treatment modality is 2nd to it
*The cause of your back pain need to be determined
-Did u have a fall recently?--
-Does ur back hurt severely on just moving around?
-Do you have any numbness on the thighs?
*if you dont have these symptoms then u are not suffering from a Disc prolapse
*then you are just having a spasm of back muscles which will get relieved on 3 days strict bed rest.
*if you dont have time to take bed rest, then you will have to take medicines for about a week - analgesics needed like Aciclofenac - for that u need to see a doc

Lie flat on your back, raise your arms up towards the ceiling and then keeping your arms apart and straight touch the floor at the back of your head with the backs of your hands. Do this about 6 times twice a day for a couple of weeks. It helps to straighten out your spine and also relieve pain.

One word - Chiropractor! I have had back pain for years, it is the ONLY thing that has worked! Its not super expensive and it will eventually get to the point of 1 adjustment a year and you'll feel amazing!
