Tattoos are awesome! I have 6. My best advice is to really think about what you would like. Put a lot of thought into it before stamping your body with something that is going to be with you forever! Remember that we all change as we grow older and what you liked now may not be what you may like in 5 years. Getting a tattoo that means something to you will be better than getting a tazmanian devil, for example. Happy Inking!

You should only get a tattoo that you put alot of thought into. It will be on your body for life. I don't think that asking random people yahoo answers is the right way to go about it, I mean look at the stupid answers you get. If you do get a tattoo, go to a custom shop. Don't just pick something off the wall. Put some research into the piece of art you are going to put on your body, and don't let some hack do it.

That depends on what kind of things you like. That depends on whether or not you work somewhere that you would have to keep the tat covered. You should probably get something that you see and think "Wow! That's what I want!". That would be much better than having someone tell you what to get. I have one on my upper arm. When I got it I thought it would be easy to cover up at work. It was easy this winter, but now that it's summer and time for short sleeves it's hard to find a shirt with long enough sleeves.

The word is spelled tattoo. Start with some thing small. In a not so visible place just in case you do not like it.

I can just see you typing 'tatoo' and then looking at it for awhile and thinking, "you know, that word needs an 'e' at the end".

Good for you. Make up your own spelling. No rules.

if you have to ask this question, then you shouldn't be getting one right now
a tattoo is something you have for the rest of your life unless you got the kind of money to have it removed, which is painful also,
so YOU need to decide what YOU want, not take suggestions from utter strangers

What do you like? Don't put names on your body, get something you like very much and make sure it is beautiful, put it where people can see it in a casual setting. You will regret it if it is on your forearm or ankle! Try your bra strap area or lower back on left or right side. Good luck!

Don't do it. Tattoos are bad for the skin and although they can be removed they are still noticible. If you really want one, get it somewhere where you would not show it in your professional life.

Getting a tattoo is a personal choice, it needs to be something that you absolutly love-you have to live with it everyday of your life.
