Yep. Everygirl is different. It is good that your periods are regular, even if they are 40 days or 30 days apart. It is normal. Do not worry.

It may have been more regular when you were on the patch because the patch regulates your period to come every 30 days. If you are on no birth control and your period comes every 40 days, that is just the way your body works. Not every woman will have a 28-30 day cycle - we're all different. Consider yourself lucky that your periods are more infrequent. I wouldn't worry about it - it's just the way your body operates. As long as it consistantly comes every 40 days, I don't think there is anything to be concerned about.

Just about any length of time between periods is "normal" I think. Regularity is just whether there is same amount of time between each. The patch and the pill make your period fit a certain schedule (usually 28-30 days) but that schedule may not be the same as your body's. I know it's different for me. So, yeah, I think it's normal!

If every 40 days is normal for you then its normal. There are exceptions to every normal.

Every woman is different. I have a period every five weeks that only last for two days.

Not for me, but every woman has a slightly different cycle so it could be perfectly normal for you. Birth control regulates our cycles, so that's the birth control cycle and not your natural cycle. Ask your gynecologist on your next visit.

Sometimes when you take a birth control contraceptive you will be irregular for a while...but if I were you I would discuss it with you physican and see what they think so that they can fix any problems that you may have...but some people are like that too...

i would ask a gyno personally i figure it is normal but you can also go to www.askagyno.com to see if anyone else has had that trouble. it could also be that your body was used to the higher hormone levels and now is in a swingback kinda mode

That is great. Anything that is regular is normal. All women are different. Count your blessings.
