This year it doesn't quite work that way.

Huge in summer fashion are crocheted bikinis (see Isaac Manevitz for Ben-Anmun at ben-amun.com); bright florals, graphic pieces and polka dots; flowing and loose, southwestern style is big. Check out bananarepulic.com (Banana Repulic Striped Dress); or Coldwater Creek Ethnic Stripe Sundress at coldwatercreek.com; Lauren by Ralph Lauren Serape Stripe Skirt (Macy's carries them).

Shoes have gone crazy this season, if you love shoes, you'll love these Spiegel Thong Sandals at spiegel.com or JLo "Aztec" Wedges - I think these are carried by the Victoria's Secret Catalog.

One of the most awesome tops I have found out there is The Goddess Top a/k/a French Connnection Silk Georgette Top at frenchconnection.com.

There are some big jewelry artisans this year because that's what they are going with - ethnic, hand made ancient designers such as Andrea Fohrman, Patricia Cobiella, Asha by ADM. - Anyway, it's not that simple. Accessorize, Accessorize, Accesorize.

Oh, and a good connection for the hottest swimwear is www.everthingbutwater. By the way, if you ever find an item you dying to have and retail is way too expensive, e-mail me, I have a designer wholesale store (true designer products). But, otherwise there ya go - oh and you can never go wrong with Juicy Couture and Diesel for jeans, etc.

The summer "It" colors are white as always is going to be big, red for accessories, and blue but in lighter shades like cobalt and turquoise. Although these colors are "It", go with what flatters you, and what you like. Also these colors might look good by themselves, but if you wear them together you might look like the American flag! lol. Also, polka dots are also in. Good Luck ♥
