I have XP,, my computer is less than a year old, and I have bought new mice...I cant believe that I am that hard on em. (LOL)... Before doiong the first system recovery, I went down, bought a new mouse & it wouldnt even move the cursor... Does sound like more of an internal thing?

Sounds like you should get a new mouse.

what kind of mouse do you have? what kind of hard drive programs ? anything?
A: try to get another mouse
B: check the connection of the mouse to your computer
C: any mouse (in case you don't have windows software) is coming with CD and on the CD there are insruction how to install it - try that

i think ur pc is not picking up the driver of mouse only solution is that install mouse driver or windows xp
