I stopped burping both of my boys when they were old enough to hold their own bottle...at about 6 months. Generally when they would sit up after finishing a bottle, they'd burp automatically. Then they'd look at me like, "How the heck did that happen? You weren't even patting my back!" and I'd get big smiles. :)

every once in a while a still have to burp my 2 year old when he gets sick. but i really stopped when he was about 6 months

It came natural from my baby when to stop him burbing. Everytime after he ( 9 month sold) is done with his bottle, he goes off my lap sits and burps..No more burping for me

my son is 4 months and hes starting to burp himself but im not gonna stop doing it for him yet becuz if i dont burp him he vomits all his food up

I stoped once I sat my child up and he burped himself. lol That was about 6 months old.
