when i play certain games ,like racing games i sometimes get a jumping effect in certain games ,its like i get to a certain frame and it will pause for 1/10th of a sec and carry on
is this a hard drive problem or a graphic card problem
my card is a radeon 9550,i know its not brilliant but the games i play only require 8 to 16mb graphics and mine is 128mb
do you get jumping in games or is there a way to rectify this

Lots of variables here...First off are you refering to playing on the internet? If so, lag may be your problem. .Aint familiar with your card but if it has sufficient memory the first place I would look would be the ATI website. Download the latest drivers. Nextly try reducing the resolution and turning off some of the video effects. If you are running on an older slower system this could be your problem. Putting a hi end vid card on a sytem that has a 500 mhz processor is not going to cut the mustard either. You might also try tweaking your direct x settings. Sound can also be an issue. If you have an ancient soundcard, the processing of the sound may be causing this. Been thru it all my friend! Avid gamer myself! Good luck!

Its not always how much memory you have on your Video Card, it could be the Clock speed of the card as well or your motherboard may not be fast enought to keep up with the video card.
