A couple of steps to consider are laying it flat and maybe they will relax over a couple of days. Also you might try reverse rolling it.

Use a damp towel and fold it under and on top of the rug end...like folding over a taco. Then take an iron on the steam setting and iron THROUGH the damp towel onto the rug. Make sure you are on a hard flat surface...and make sure the surface can take the steam heat from the iron. If the curl comes back later, then you'll have to resort to old fashioned tacks or sticky tape to hold em flat.

Roll it the opposite way for a day, then roll it out on the wrong side. If it is still crinkled, anchor it on the wrong side for another day. It sohould straighten.

If it is a better quality runner then it will probably take a short time for it to flatten out, just make sure people are aware and don't trip, seriously. I'm assuming you are speaking of the plastic?

Turn it against the roll and walk on it that way for a day or two. Works great. Good Luck!

I had this problem once. The sun answer is my favorite, that should work great, wish I would have thaught of that. But the alternative is to wait and it will relax with time.....I have done this myself. I still like the sun answer.

Simple....lay it outside for a bit. Bottom side up...the sun'll flatin' it!
Kinda like how if you lay a hose out in the sun it makes it more pliable to wind up!!
