i believe colleges offer a BBA- bachelor in business Administration-they did in 1968 when i went to college- don't know about today- my suggestion would be - take accounting- the best business background you can have-because it gives you a complete understanding of business, and how businesses run, and how we keep track of the results-- other possibilities are economics, marketing, advertising, etc. a bba-used to give you a bit of everything in business, yet a lot of nothing-no real major that is-- check with some business schools and see what they have to offer, and what their suggestions might be- also talk to some people in mgmt. and see what they suggest worked for them, or what they would do, if they could do it over again--changes ?? see if you can get a mgmt mentor who is success full to guide you..that would be great-- i am a retired Independent Insurance Broker for life & health insurance, and also a retired CPA, CFP, & LUTCF..if i can be of further help to you--holler back at me--good luck to you...

General management is perhaps the most generic and popular concentration for both the BSBA and MBA degrees.

Everyone has to take accounting and finance. Most schools are stressing Ethics courses now. Operations Research (a bear of a class - I hope you are great at math) and Operations Management are usually requirements. General marketing, etc. These are in addition to your algebra, history and other general ed courses.

The toughest classes (IMHO): Ops Research and Finance.

The easiest: Marketing, Ethics

Probably major in business. You have to take all the basics like english, a bit of math, psychology, sociology. You also take business classes like economics or accounting or organizational development. Then after your bachelor's you can get an MBA (master's in business administration) that is a general management degree.

Business Management, business ehtics that sort of mind numbingly boring stuff will get you there.

I took the classes, but honestly real world experience will be more useful so see if you can find a mentor.
