The number of frauds are huge. Sometimes a person will buy a real bag (with papers and serial) and post it on ebay. They instead ship a counterfeit, and repost the real bag with papers and serial. Rinse and repeat.

In short, make sure you aren't doing anything that makes the bag seem counterfeit. You should truly call or email eBay to find out why. A reciept might help. And try posting a neat looking auction. Auctions in all caps like "REAL GENIUNE COACH HANDBAG REAL AUTHENTIC REAL" often get thrown out. An auction that says "Authentic Coach Handbag - (Style) (Color) (Model) is much more professional and real seeming.

Finally, your feedback (or lack thereof) can lead eBay to delete auctions.

Hope this helps!

As others have pointed out in earlier answers, eBay removes many Coach brand listings since they are likely fraudulent or counterfeit. The onus is on you, the seller, to prove you have a genuine Coach product. Showing a receipt (with your personal details backed out) in your listing's photos is a good method of proving you are selling an authentic Coach handbag.

If your Coach items are still being removed under eBay's VeRO program then you should file a protest to have your listings reinstated. There are other options open to you besides eBay :-)

Hi-

Ebay creates policies and changes them at will. The poilicies are generally (99.999% of the time) only enforced as a result of somebody reporting you to ebay for a violation of some policy.

Other sellers are ruthless to knock out any competition, so 90% of the people who report your item are competitors.

Ebay normally will only investigate a listing after it has been reported. They do not look for violations. Ebay relies on the "community" to police the listings and find violations of their policies.

It can take Ebay up to 3 months to investigate a reported violation. When they remove your listing, they will send you an email advising you what policy was violated.

The reason others are still selling is that they have not been reported, or ebay has not gotton around to investigate their listing yet.

The analogy is like speeders on the freeway. Why does the policeman single out one driver from the thousands of vehicles that are all speeding? If you consider all of the listings on ebay and all of the new users, etc.... It is impossible to police all of the listings and users.

You can relist, buy if you are a repeat violator, ebay will close your account.

You can open new accounts, but this can become tedious. It becomes a cat and mouse game that just detracts from your primary focus, which is to run and grow your business.

Ebay becomes an obstacle.

You can also report all of the others who are also violating. Eventually, ebay may, or may not, get around to investigating their listings and going after them, but is this really a prudent use of your time?????

My best advise is to create a website and sell your items there.

Funnel traffic from ebay lisitngs of similar items that do not violate to your website by answering every email you receive with a link to your website.

This gets ebay out of your hair.

Ebay is a huge beaurocracy that is impossible to reason with, so do not try to reason with them.

Go around them!

Good luck!!

E-bay has people monitoring the system and unfortunately they can't monitor everything. Usually if you try and sell something that isn't within your "normal" type of listing (say you always sell books and now you're selling $300 handbags) they'll flag it and remove your listing. The problem is that there is so much knock-off stuff being sold on their site they have a hard time deciding what real and what's not. Try re-listing it and see what happens.

ebay and other sites are not allowed to sell these type of bags anymore because of the imitation bags going around which were being sold on line at autentic prices.
