You should have a doctor look at that permanent bruise. It may be skin cancer.

As a mother, I feel for you. I think you could go to the makeup counter at the departmment store or a makeup shop, where the people at the counter are trained to show you what to buy and how to apply the makeup. If this poses a problem, find a local experienced Mary Kay Rep or Avoan Rep. The Mary Kay Reps usually have better training, but their products tend to cost more than Avon. Have them come to your home and help you to select the correct products and how to apply. It may take experiencing several of these reps, until you can find someone that is highly skilled and not justy a novice. The Mary Kay reps seem to have more of a tem concept, so if you do not get what you need from one, just ask them if they could reccommend someone else on the team that may be close to your age or closer to your style that could help. There are also a product available for covering marks on legs and arms, available at the dept artment stores. My friend had burst vein marks shoeing through her skin on her legs. She went to the makeup counter at Sears I think, they were able to reccomend her a produvct that worked very well. It was not a Sears only producty, it was just one of those counters, I am sure another Dept store mayhave the same product. Do not worry, there are products out there that will work for you. If one does not work, just keep trying. You will find something.

If you have a bruise, it should heal. If it consistently returns, it's not a bruise, but some other abrasion or skin disorder. You definitely do not want to put a tatoo on top, over, around a lesion that is not healing. See your doctor. Some people have keloid skin and where a bruise might have begun, there is additional growth in or around the skin creating markings and sometimes pain. Be careful.

Woah! There is such a thing as a permanent bruise? Are you sure your naot banging your shin against something regularly (soccer)? I used to kick in my sleep, so I would always have bruises on my feet form hitting the wall. Are you banging your shin against something in your sleep? Oh, and getting a tattoo on a bruise will hurt A LOT!!!

If you have a bruise that won't go away see a doctor not a tattoo artist. Is there any scar tissue damage or is it just a bruise?

It may not be a bruise .. go get it looked at .. its probably a birth mark, and I wouldn't wanna cover up something that is naturally gorgeous like that.
Put a tattoo somewhere else!

Yes, you can get a tattoo to blend into your skin. You might want to get a CBC test. You might be a hemophiliac. Or the blood thinners are causing the bruising.

If it's not going away, I don't think it's a bruise. Go see a doctor.

It should, as long as the skin will take the ink. As long as there is not alot of blood under the skin, or it is deeper than the ink is going to go, you should be ok getting one.
