i'm trying to find the codes so i can program my police scanner, can anyone tell where i can find these codes?

It depends on where you live. Most places have their own website with the codes listed, yet others you have to check the registered FCC frequencies. You can also call up the fire or police department you are trying to get, but make sure to ask then if they use a trunking system or are encoded
