make sure you are in the shade and the glassis cool. Use a good glass cleaner with ammonia (Windex), and wipe the glass clean with a newspaper until clean. Now your done.

Steel wool works great on windows. Use the finest wool you can find. You can't use it on the paint though. The paint will require some sort of buffing compound. You can start with the least aggressive compound and see if you still have them. If so, step up the compound to a more aggressive blend. I've seen water spots so deep that I had to sand them out with 2000 grit sand paper and then buff back to a gloss. www.paintucation.com has a great video on buffing.

Try some white vinegar on a towel and follow up with a good glass cleaner. White vinegar will also take the water spots out of your paint.

Damp the Area with luke warm soap solution and rinse it. Later wipe it thoroughly with old Newspaper. It works!

Try using a hammer, then you won't notice the spots.
