For me, there will not be a next MJ.
Why? Because, primarily, MJ had a very special way of playing the game. Not only was he very good but he also attracted many fans. I mean the viewers of the NBA decreased by 12% ever since Jordan's retirement, that's a lot of fans...
The second reason why I think there will be no next MJ is because the great players of today approach the game in a different way. Dirk is scoring from all angles, Shaq is overpowering everybody, and Lebron is just being Lebron. All those styles are some how different from MJ's style of play (except Lebron, I see a lot similarities in them.)

the best answer is: There will be no next Michael Jordan. He was a one of a kind athlete, and no one can compare to him.
However the closest anyone will get is LeBron James. He has a lot of skill and is an amazing basketball player. Michael Jordan is still the best of all time, and always will be.

First let me start start off by saying that there is never going to be another Jordan....but the next electrifying player and most dominant player is a toss up between Kobe and Lebron.....Kobe has a killer instinct and drive that players in the league just do not have, but I do think that Lebron will be right up there with Kobe once he develops that instcint if he ever does.
