Anything is possible but your DSL modem will almost always have a second jack for your phone..use it to avoid any issues.

But if u r on connected to net that can disconnet it.
For this u require small box through which u dnt have to plug or unplug the cable.

If you mean you want to use your computer as a telephone you would need to install a dialup modem. Methinks you might end up with hardware conflicts. Dont waste your time...

Just plug it in to the place for it on the tower (in the back) & you're in business. Don't forget to connect it to a phone jack as well. :o)

well it might depend where u r @ but what i have is called brighthouse to where phone/internet/cable is all one bill. all you really have to do is call you cable provider and tell them what u need . i did and i can be online and talk on my home phone.
