When I was pregnat I said no passifyers because its hard to ween babys off the bottle and passifyers. In my last sono my son was sucking his thumb. When he was born he started sucking on his hand untill they were bright red. So i was forced to get him the trust passie. No doubt the passie came in handy lots of times but my now 11 month old dosnt use the passie. When he stared day care at 8 months old I would leave the passie at home by the 2nd month no more passie. and hes fine with out it 2 month seems a little son she will let it go but give ger some time its all she really knows. She trust that it will always be there when she gets older and start to trust others she will let it go willingly

She's TWO month old, I wouldnt worry about it. It makes the child feel secure and definetly keeps them quiet most times. This is not unusual for a baby to want their pacifier at this age. If the child were 2 years old, that's different. Relax, when the baby is tired of it, she will give it up on her own.

Well I'm not going to tell you not to worry about, right now you don't have anything to worry about, but the more months she get's maybe like7-8 if that long please try to ween her off.. My nephew will be 2yrs. old this month, he's off the bottle and nearly potty trained,,, His mom just can't get him off the pacifier... He would do great throughout the day but when nap time or bed time comes he needs it.. I think she should have tried to ween him off during him getting off the bottle.

My 15 month old was taken off the bottle at ten months and that is when she started handing me her pacifier. Now she does everything without it and her teeth are perfectly normal.

This is developmentally appropriate for a 2-month-old. Dont worry about it. She will grow out of it when she is ready to do so.

Babys need to suck, be it the thumb, or the nuk. It is a comfort thing. I took the nuk away from my kid when she was two years. The nuk fairy came and took it in the middle of the night as she slept.

Two months is defiantly to young to take a paci away, she uses it to soothe. I would wait until she is at least a year old and then just take them away, that's what I did with my two kids, she won't like it then either but she'll be less likely to revert to her thumb then to substitute, and you can't take her thumb away.

don't wean her at 2 months, if you didn't want her to have a pacifier you shouldn't have given her one, but now i suggest you wait until shes sleeping through night and or crawling at least.
