Absolutely!! I am leaving to go to visit a friend for a week in a month. It isn't to be unfaithful. Sometimes you get lost in the everyday life of work, kids and family. You need to be alone to find yourself again and to be a better person. I also think that kids need it too. They need time away from their parents every once in a while.

No- never we go everywhere together- even the grocery store. Why would you want to take a vacation away from your spouse? Kids I can see- everyone needs a break, but vacation time with a spouse should be about your relationship and building it up and romance.

Yes. Every year my husband goes upstate for a weekend or 2 at different times with a bunch of guys. My girl-friends and I usually go to the Renaissance fair for the weekend or over to Salem. It helps keep the peace. You can love someone with all your heart, but spending all your time with them isn't a good way to stay happy. You need to get away every once in a while.

We always go along with the children for vacations.
That is the key to the successful Marriage.
People go separately for vacations with selfish motives

Yes, I've been happily married for 15 years and my husband goes hunting every weekend during the season without me and we also sometimes go to Mexico separately, it saves money on the housesitter, babysitter and dog sitter.

I'd like to, but I don't. Do have any friends that you could vacation with? That way it's less a getting away from your mate and more a hanging out with friends thing.

a couple of days away doesn't do any harm. We go as a family, my wife and I will go away for a few days alone, and sometimes I'll go off on my own. But not for more than 2 nights.

YES! I am happily married and once a year my husband goes away for a week fishing and I stay home. Or I go on a shopping trip out of town and he stays home. Its great!

No, but my wife often travels alone for work, and I take the time to do all the work on the house that needs doing, like painting and hanging ceiling fans and such.
I'm basically teaching myself to do these things (and reading the instructions while waiting for the fire department to take their sweet time getting here!), and they look a lot better when they are done than they do while I'm shouting and cursing.

Yes.
But, my wife went to Florida and came back a totally changed person. Less than a year later she had an affair and told me I couldn't make her happy, so I had to leave.
What happened in Florida?
So my advice is go together. Find other ways of having time by yourself other than leaving the state.
