I know it's said that the pill can make you gain weight, but I am just curious if it really does.

Yes. I gained some on the pill and then I went onto the Depo-Provera shots and gained almost 100 lbs in a year. That stuff is evil and that hormone weight does NOT come off.

Pills have made me gain weight. Depo shots are the worst for that though- like 10x worse. I tried an IUD but it hurt like hell until I had it removed (which also hurt like hell). Now I use a diaphragm. It's nice not having hormones added and I use it when I need it and not when I don't. It's like 80 percent effective.

i am on the patch i stopped it for a while but last time i was on it i gained five pounds in a month not too bad bc it all went to my butt and boobs and when i took it off it went back to normal so i guess i m on it to get that sexiness back oh and depo oh god i could never do that my bf tried to convince me to get on it instead of patch and i heard so many bad things about it like the obsene weight gain, hair loss and bad nausea worse than other bc methods bc it saty in system and body can't get rid of it so u have to ride the pain out.

Birth control pills do make people heavier, especially if there is no physical activity.
