I don't like dwelling on the past, and I like my present so I wouldn't change anything back then, but I would like to see my actual birth mother...she died when I was 2 years old so I have no memory of her.

I wouldn't, as there's nothing really interesting there in the past. What was really interesting was mostly preserved. Also, I think the past is seriously romanticized. It was more dumb and violent and dirty than we think. I prefer the present times. I would prefer the future, but we should create it ourselves, not just travel there.
It could be fun to learn e.g. whether Jesus or Laozi existed. But that would be just of curiosity. I can live without that.
If you mean just to hang out there - then maybe the 1960s, in the US?

This may sound ridiculous as the times were not good, but I would want to go back to when JESUS walked on earth. To be in his presence for a minute and to be able to look in his face & eyes to see the truth radiating from HIM, this would be the ultimate experience for me.As I believe in all that is HIM as HE is my guiding light I will never doubt HIM or HIS reasons for everything. "Glory to GOD in the Highest, Peace to HIS people on earth."

There are many time periods I would love to see. But because there are too many to choose from, I would go to my childhood years, to upstate NY, and try to give my young self some good advice.
